Answer
It is true that with the modernisation and urbanisation process, metropolises are increasingly facing several issues. In my opinion, urban citizens should be encouraged to live and work in suburban areas.
There are two main problems that make living in large urban areas to become a burden. Perhaps the first one is that as city residents nowadays are more likely to drive to work rather than walking or cycling, the number of cars has increased rapidly, causing heavily congested conditions. In Hanoi capital, for example, with over five thousand cars registered, traffic jams could not be handled without forcing travellers to wait in a long queue during rush hours. The other major issue is the scarcity of housing due to the overcrowding. In the purpose of earning a living, more and more people move to big cities and this has lead to an increase in housing demands. As a result, people with low or medium incomes who can not afford a house have to live in confined and cheap apartments.
I am of opinion that it is advisable for the government to motivate urban residents to relocate to the suburbs. Firstly, big cities would reap great benefits from this policy as the population density in those areas would decrease considerably. It becomes clear that the intensity of traffic could also be reduced and housing shortages are no longer a problem. Secondly, it is those who move to smaller cities or rural areas that could have a more comfortable life. They could enjoy a better environment with fresh air, green pastures and will not have to face the problem of bumper-to-bumper traffic.
In conclusion, traffic jams and housing pressure are two main issues confronting metropolitan areas and I believe that feasible measures should be taken to motivate urban citizens to relocate to rural areas.
Đúng là cùng với quá trình hiện đại hóa và đô thị hóa, các đô thị lớn ngày nay đang dần đối mặt với nhiều vấn đề. Tôi cho rằng, những công dân sống ở đô thị nên được khuyến khích sống và làm việc ở các khu ngoại ô.
Có hai lý do chính làm cho việc sống ở các khu vực đô thị lớn trở thành một gánh nặng. Có lẽ điều đầu tiên đó là bởi vì các ngày nay người thành phố có xu hướng lái xe đi làm hơn là đi bộ hay đi xe đạp, số lượng xe đã tăng nhanh, gây ra các hiện tượng tắc nghẽn nặng nề. Ở thủ đô Hà Nội chẳng hạn, với hơn năm nghìn xe được đăng kí, kẹt xe không thể nào giải quyết được mà không bắt các hành khách chờ trong hàng dài suốt những giờ cao điểm. Một lý do khác đó là sự thiếu nhà ở do sự quá đông. Với mục đích kiếm sống, nhiều người di chuyển tới thành phố và điều này dẫn tới sự gia tăng trong nhu cầu nhà ở. Kết quả là những người có thu nhập thấp và trung bình những người mà không thể mua nhà phải sống trong các khu nhà ở chật hẹp và rẻ tiền.
Tôi cho rằng nhà nước nên khuyến khích mọi người chuyển tới các khu nông thôn. Đầu tiên, các thành phố lớn sẽ nhận được những lợi ích lớn từ chính sách này bởi vì dân số ở các khu vực đó sẽ được giảm đáng kể. Rõ ràng rằng mật độ giao thông cũng sẽ giảm và sức ép nhà ở không còn là một vấn đề. Thứ hai, những người chuyển tới các thành phố nhỏ hơn cũng sẽ có một cuộc sống thoải mái hơn. Họ sẽ có một môi trường tốt hơn với không khí trong sạch và những đồng cỏ xanh và không phải đối mặt với tình trạng ỳ ạch kẹt xe
Tóm lại, kẹt xe và thiếu nhà ở là hai vấn đề lớn đang thách thức các thành phố lớn, tôi cho rằng những biện pháp khả thi nên được thực hiện để khuyến khích người dân chuyển tới nông thôn hơn.
